John 1

The Eternal Word
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

Experience never trumps the written word of God. It is not just black and white print. Everything that God has ever said never falls to the ground, it does what He intends for it to do. Scripture is the very heart of God poured out in written word. His passion for us.

The written word through the Holy Spirit, still convicts, and still renews our minds. The anointed word, is the scripture anointed, and it is the gospel message which still breaks strongholds. Scripture comes alive as Jesus through the Holy Spirit. If you reject the written word, and taking experience over the written word, then it is an anti christ spirit that is leading you, and you have chosen, experience over Jesus, without foundation in the scriptures.
If you put experience over the plumb-line of the scriptures, then, you can be, and will be deceived!

We can not know Jesus intimately by running after signs, or wonders or experiences. We need to seek Jesus with no agenda except to know Him, IN THE WRITTEN WORD that the Lord gave to us, and in prayer. We can not let EITHER of them slack, especially at this time.

We need to get familiar again with the foundationals of Christ, what it means to be DENYING OURSELVES, PICKING UP OUR OWN CROSSES AND WALKING IN THE SELF DENYING WAY THAT HE WALKED, OR THE SCRIPTURE SAYS WE ARE NOT WORTHY OF HIM. Even and especially in the wilderness of trial, testing which reveals what is in our hearts, so that we can take all vulnerabilities, sins, and errors to the cross in repentance.

This life, is also a life of learning about Him in the experiences, in the mountain top experiences, and in the valleys or wilderness. But, this is not what we seek, we seek God, through our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the leading of the Holy Spirit, and reading the written love letters He has given us in the SCRIPTURES, and EQUALLY WE NEED TO BE IN PRAYER, FELLOWSHIP, AND ABIDING IN HIM.

The anti christ spirit would have everyone vulnerable to deception by lying about being directed and knowing God through our experiences first, and not receiving the foundation in Scripture as taught by the Holy Spirit. Keeping Jesus as our focus, our First Love and pouring over His love letters in the scriptures, and staying in fellowship, through prayer is key.

ASK YOURSELVES THIS, AND TEST YOUR LOVE FOR JESUS: If we never had any experiences with the Lord, would it be enough for you to know that Jesus loves you personally enough to have suffered and died by shedding His blood on the cross, for you to have eternal life with Him?? Is He truly your very First Love? And Goal? Or is it that you are a part of that wicked generation that looks for a sign.

Seek to know Him more intimately in scriptures and praying in the Holy Spirit, and in fellowshiping with Him. And then let the pure signs of His follow you, written in scripture if you are a believer. FOLLOW is the operative word here, not running to them.

Remember we are not even supposed to rejoice that we have authority over demons, but that our names are written in the Lambs book of Life. Why should we then run around seeking and rejoicing over signs and wonders, especially if authority over demons is one of the signs that FOLLOW believers.

Everything that God has ever had me encounter, is through running with everything I know to do to Jesus. Loving Him, needing Him, reading those love letters to His true bride and Keeping Jesus as my Treasured One, my First Love, and that is mandatory for a true disciple of Christ.
Not that I have attained it, or been made perfect, but I press on not looking back to that upward call in Christ!!
Love Jesus enough to read His scripture, pray to get to the meat of the word, the revelation of the word, that renews the mind, and delivers us from wrong mindsets, and allows for us to have a more intimate understanding and relationship with Christ Jesus.
